RESEARCHERS FOR AUTOCAD MARKET

LOOKING FOR PARTNERS

1. My business:

Partners get the following ad to where clients can see under categories of

CAD, Construction and Software.

To establish contact in the jungle is everything - you do that. To chew the software is peanuts - I do this. We share 50/50.

2. My Gimmick:

LISP MACROS FOR AUTOCAD 2000

Integrating MS Office with AutoCAD quick and simple. Put your construction data into an Excel file and let my macro run overnight to produce 100 drawings. Pick the results from the paper tray in the morning. To write each macro, I need two sample sets of files (dwg, dxf, txt, xls, doc, etc.): HereAreFilesWeHave.zip and HereAreFilesWeWantProduced.zip - You can have the macro installed and running in a week from today.

3. Nasty Nasty

(Alias for My Terms of Business)

You got the contact and I provided the software but where does the satisfied client pay? Your bank or mine as you prefer. You may even keep all of the first payment until you need a second program from me. Fair enough? Having seen that it works, you may even direct the second client you locate to another programmer. No problem - the market is huge and AUTOLISP OR VISUAL LISP programmers are few.

That is it.

Consider yourself accepted and get a client. If from my style you feel that you can trust, simply let them send questions direct to me. Let me know this is your client and your share is secure. Saves you lots of time. If not, relay the technical questions from clients to me and relay back the answers from me. There will be feasibility questions and answers back and forth.

You may post for everyone to see what you think of my business. I will not delete even if bitter - honest!

SERIOUS BUSINESS FROM INTERNET CAFE or ALL ABOUT USENET NEWSGROUPS

SERIOUS BUSINESS FROM INTERNET CAFE

JOIN ANYTIME YOU WANT

If you are sitting in an Internet-Cafe now, then you have the necessary know-how to do some work useful to a million companies working with AutoCAD, useful to me, and eventually, useful to yourself. How?

1. Not much experience in Usenet?

No problem. Type the word in a search engine and you know all about it. Keywords: Usenet, NewsGroup, Public Access Server. You are searching for Public Access Usenet Servers and in them newsgroups containing the words Acad or AutoCAD.

Before reading or posting messages, you must connect to a news server.

The Internet Provider of your connection has a server and you need the name.

If you cannot find this, guess by putting news. before the provider's name. Like

news.myInternetpro.com

You are doing this in an e-mail reader like Outlook Express. Not in the Explorer.

How to get there?

In Internet Explorer, open the GO menu and select NEWS

After typing your name or a nickname and your e-mail address, it wants the address of your news server.

Here are some servers. Type one of them. There are many more:

learnet.freenet.hut.fi

mailserver.corvis.ru

news.state.ut.us

news1.hetnet.nl

nntpserver.pppl.gov

To add a second server to your Outlook Express news reader:

Outlook ExpressMenu:

Tools + Accounts + News +

Add + News

Then, as above

After you add a news server, dialog box appears for newsgroups offered by this server.

Type a word in the search box (acad or autocad) and you see groups including this word.

Pick them and click subscribe.

and here are some newsgroups on acad or autocad. There are hundreds more.

comp.cad.autocad

alt.cad.autocad

alt.binaries.warez.autocad

relcom.fido.ru.acad

Now you see server names you added and newsgroup names you subscribed in the Outlook express window below Inbox, Outbox etc.

You pick any of these and in the subject box of Outlook Express you see mail subjects.

The following links should connect to server and newsgroup at the same time:

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.autocad.customization

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.autocad.2000general

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.autocad.marketing

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.autocad.drafting

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.americas.customerservice

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.autocad.network

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.world.general

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.autocad.training

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.autocad.r14general

news://discussion.autodesk.com/pn.classified

news://discussion.autodesk.com/pn.cadmanager

The rest is same as e-mail operations. Pick one and read the content.

2. Now to our business.

You look at the letters and try to select those asking for a solution to an AutoCAD problem. Specially go for those mentioning Autocad and Excel in the same letter. These are our potential clients. We write the macro that is to be the solution to their problem. But will they buy it? Your job is to send them a mail and ask it: will they buy the solution?

3. You send them this mail:

Dear Sir

We saw your mail in a newsgroup and we may be able to provide a macro for your specific task. You can have the macro installed and running within one week of your confirmation.

We are specialized in integrating Autocad with MS-Office files, (most often Excel).

We write macros which convert the information in Excel into ACAD drawings, edit the existing drawings, convert colors, layers, text sizes, styles and blocks. Extract text information from drawings and more. On request we provide macros that do these operations on all the files in a subdirectory. A macro of average complexity takes a week to deliver. You test it and if satisfied pay us $1000.- for it.

Expecting your reply, Sincerely.

4. To avoid repeat mails to clients:

We do not want to send the same offer twice to a client. Therefore, before you send any mails, please go to our homepage:

http://members.asiaco.com/sir

And post on the forum there, the newsgroup you are using to select clients. If you post there first, then when a client from this newsgroup buys a macro from us, you get half of the fee.

I am starting this on October 2000, and the forum page is empty yet. You can become the first partner. Go for it.

5. How many clients you should mail to each week?

The worst performance may be this:

You send 100 mails, get 2 clients, only 1 is satisfied and pays us $1000.-

The best performance may be this:

You send 200 mails, get 20 clients, only 10 are satisfied and pay us $10,000.-

Whatever they pay, you get half because you contacted the client. I share the other half with the programmers or I write the macros my self.

6. How do you get your money?

I arrange with an Incorporation Company in Delaware, USA, to open a bank account there for you when your first client is satisfied with our macro and wants to pay.

When your 20th satisfied client pays, you have $10,000.- in your account. I arrange with the same Company to incorporate you in Delaware as Limited Liability Company or equivalent and pay your taxes (about 25%). You get an American Express Card and check book to access your money.

7. What next?

You got a company in America and money in your bank account. I would say this is a pretty good start to make from an Internet cafe in the middle of nowhere (or center of the universe). And I hope you shall remember me kindly in your years after.

It is your time, your decision. Do as you please. I am not insisting.

You should know this before you waste your precious time:

My best friends called me crazy!!

They also said:

This will never work!!!
