MANUFACTURING IDEAS #1

Roll-Chair for the handicapped and everyone else

Procedure for making the prototype:

  1. Buy two mini-jet engines sold for kit-planes. They exist since ages and children are using them in radio-controlled kit airplanes. Use the search engine www.webferret.com, download webferret.exe and search for key words: kit-plane mini-jet manufacturer.
  2. Disassemble one mini-jet for modifications. Install the second one on a workbench in a workshop, connect to fuel tank and let it run continuously. See the fuel efficiency in liters per hour. Listen to the noise, watch the vibrations of the workbench at different levels of fuel flow, and think on how to make it silent.
  3. Try it with sunflower oil as fuel and solve any problems that show up.
  4. Design a mini-gearbox to convert mini-jet rotation (15000 to 30000 rpm) to roll chair wheel speed ( 30 km/hr = 30000 m / 60 min =500 m/min = 500 rpm)
  5. Study the starting kit (battery, plugs, etc.) and simplify.
  6. Install the mini-jet and gearbox onto a roll-chair, harmonize the speed controls, brakes for turning left or right and starting battery.
  7. Add comfort for outdoor winter night riding and parking: reading lights, sleep bag, windshield, tea-boiler and heater.
  8. Test the fuel per km performance on sunflower oil. Your target is to achieve 300 km /liter.
  9. Photograph all the components with digital camera, organize into a patent application file and register online. Search engine key words: patent office government America Japan.
  10. Test the same silent mini-jet on normal bicycles.
  11. Keep away from people who will say: it wont work; you cant get a license for it; it is not safe; it already exists; who needs this; people want something else; other companies will steal it. If you can keep away from these people, you will succeed. If not, don't even start. People who on the first hearing say these things have other ways of obstructing a good idea. If they know about it in advance, then it cannot be done. Not here, not now. Somewhere else, another time surely.
  12. If you try and fail, you are safe. If you succeed, there are the usual risks pertaining every maverick or pioneer everywhere every time.

Good Luck.
